Payouts from EU co-financing fund reach HUF 6 bln
Some HUF 6 billion has been paid out from a HUF 30 billion fund to help recipients of European Union grant money cover the co-financing requirement for their projects since it was established in October, the National Development Agency said on Thursday.
The co-financing, awarded to almost 300 beneficiaries, translated as a combined HUF 34 billion in payouts for the projects concerned, including the EU grants. Resources in the EU Co-financing Fund are available until the end of June 2014.
The government wants to sort out the fate of troubled meat companies in the cities of Gyula, Pápa and Kaposvár at a cabinet meeting next Wednesday, Prime Minister's Office state secretary János Lázár said on Thursday. Company officials as well as representatives from the Hungarian Development Bank and the National Development Ministry will participate at the talks, Lázár said.
