Paks generates almost 54% of Hungary's electricity
Hungary's sole nuclear power plant in Paks reportedly generated 15,649 GWh of electricity last year, accounting for 53.6% of national output, CEO István Hamvas said today in Budapest.
By international comparison, the Paks nuclear power plant is in fact performing well, the CEO said, adding that three of the plant's blocks are among the top five VVER-440 type blocks.
The CEO added that the Paks plant had a revenue of HUF 172.9 bln in 2014, down by 6.8% from the previous year.
