Nielsen makes commitments to competition office
Research company Nielsen’s commitment to revise its pricing practices has been accepted by Hungary’s competition office GVH, Hungarian news agency MTI reported late yesterday.
GVH completed an investigation of the research company during which it examined the software market involved in the analysis of television ratings data between January 2012 and June 2014. Following this, Nielsen agreed to make the pricing of its data transparent, to set up a new package structure (separating its ratings data base and its data management software) and allowing its customers to assign a third party to manage and process the data bases, MTI said.
