National Mobile Payment Company, Volán sign agreement on National Electronic Ticket Platform
Hungarian state-owned National Mobile Payment Company and transportation company Volán Egyesülés signed a cooperation agreement focused on creating a National Electronic Ticket Platform (NEJP), a service which will offer customers the ability to manage ticket purchases in one integrated system for Volán’s long-distance bus services, MÁV train services and the public transport services of Budapest Transportation Center (BKK), Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
The National Mobile Payment Company expects these organizations to start introducing a uniform electronic ticket system by 2016, however, the company could not give an exact date by which time the service would be fully functional.
