MNKH to open two offices in India

The Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH), set up by the Hungarian state to find new opportunities for Hungarian companies on foreign markets, will open two offices in India before the end of this year, one in the northern and one in the southern part of the country, Hungarian news agency MTI reported on Friday.

The Indian government will offer scholarships to 35 Hungarian students yearly and the Hungarian government will offer scholarships to 200 Indian students yearly, state secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade László Szabó said in Budapest on Friday following the fourth meeting of the Hungarian-Indian Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation. 

Representatives of MNKH and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) signed a cooperation agreement after the press conference.

A Hungarian-Indian business forum attended by 70 Hungarian companies was held on Thursday. On behalf of the Hungarian government, Szabó awarded the Knightʼs Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit to Dinesh Thampi, vice president of TATA Consultancy Services, in recognition of his work for building relations between Hungary and India.
