Hungary’s MKB Bank today opened applications for its FinTech Academy, which will be launched as the first step in its four-phase FinTech Program aimed at establishing a 21st century digital bank through partnerships, according to a press release issued today.
“We believe it is compulsory to invest in the development of domestic financial literacy, and in learning about the latest financial digital technologies,” said Márk Hetényi, deputy CEO of MKB Bank’s retail and digital branch.
MKB is the first bank in Hungary to place emphasis on involving financial startups and teams dealing with digital technologies, according to the press release. Within the framework of the academy, a four-week workshop series will be organized, with professionals discussing the challenges the digital era has set for financial institutions.
