Representatives of the National Economy Ministry and the Hungarian Banking Association continued consultations on amendments affecting the development of the financial intermediary system and the proposal submitted to Parliament related to victims of the Quaestor brokerage scandal, the National Economy Ministry told MTI yesterday.

The talks on the matter were started last week, they added in the statement. Parliamentary group leader of governing Fidesz party, Antal Rogán, submitted a bill to Parliament late Friday that would establish a special fund to top up compensation for clients of failed brokerage Quaestor.
