The prices of Hungary’s most popular lottery tickets have been raised by HUF 25 to HUF 250 per game, taking effect Sunday, according to a press statement sent to Hungarian news agency MTI by state-owned Szerencsejáték Zrt, the issuer of lottery tickets in the country.

According to the company, the stakes are also being raised as the amount of winnings will also be boosted, supported by the price rise.

The price of games on lottery tickets was last raised in 2010, by HUF 25, MTI recalled. Revenues of the company exceeded HUF 350 billion last year, the news agency added.
