Flights between Budapestʼs Ferenc Liszt International Airport and Londonʼs Luton Airport carry more passengers than on any other route connecting the Hungarian capital, show data compiled by Eurostat, the EUʼs statistical office.

About 240,000 passengers traveled on flights between Budapest and London Luton in 2015, according to the data, cited by state news wire MTI.

The second most popular destination in terms of passenger numbers was Frankfurt am Main (215,400), followed by Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris (214,600), Londonʼs Stansted (184,700), and Amsterdamʼs Schiphol (165,600).

Some 10.3 million passengers used Ferenc Liszt International Airport in 2015, operator Budapest Airport said earlier. A little more than 79% of all passengers who used the airport in 2015 were traveling within the European Union, the Eurostat data show.
