Lithuanian industrial production increases in April

Lithuania’s industrial production climbed 6.1% from a year earlier in April, the Vilnius-based Statistics Lithuania reported on Tuesday. On a working day adjusted basis, production increased 5% year-on-year during the month. However, production fell 9.2% compared to March. The seasonally adjusted production index was down 3.3% in April compared to the previous month. Manufacturing output rose 4.6% yr/yr on a working day adjusted basis. Mining and quarrying output fell 4.6%, while production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning surged 9.7%.
