KSH: Hungary’s industrial producer prices fall 1.3% in Dec.

Hungary’s industrial producer prices fell by 1.3% in December in year-on-year terms, with domestic sales prices being down by 2.8% and export sales prices down by 0.5%, Hungary’s Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported today.

With reference to all of 2015, domestic sales prices were 3.1% lower, export sales prices 0.3% higher and industrial producer prices as a whole decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous year, KSH said.

According to KSH data, in year-on-year terms, in December, industrial domestic sales prices decreased by 2.8%, manufacturing prices by 2.3% and prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply, representing significant weight, by 3.7%. Industrial export sales prices fell by 0.5% and prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply by 1.5%, KSH said.

Overall, industrial domestic sales prices were 3.1% lower, manufacturing prices 3.3% lower and prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply, representing significant weight, 3.1% lower last year, as compared to the previous year, KSH reported. With relation to domestic sales, prices fell by 4.4% in energy and intermediate producer branches, rose by 1.3% in capital goods producer branches and were unchanged in consumer goods producer branches, KSH said. Industrial export sales prices were 0.3% higher, while prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply were 2.0% lower, KSH added.
