Hungaryʼs GDP growth projection for this year has been scaled down to 3% from Julyʼs 3.2% by economic research institute Kopint-Tárki, which is under the official government forecast of 3.1%.

However, for the next year the economic research institute raised its projection from 2.4% to 2.5% GDP growth.

They cut their forecast for average annual inflation to minus 0.1% from 0.5% for 2015 and to 1.7% for next year from the 2.6% projected in July, managing director Zoltán Ádám told journalists today, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

The researchers consider the 2.4%-of-GDP official government deficit target for 2015 attainable and project a 2.2% deficit ratio for 2016, MTI added.
