Industrial output increases 4.0% in June

Hungaryʼs industrial output rose 4.0% year-on-year in June, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data Friday. Adjusted for the number of working days, output was up 6.5%.
The unadjusted increase slowed from an 8.8% rise in May. The adjusted increased accelerated slightly from 6.2%.
The volume of industrial production in June – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was below the level of the previous month by 1.2%.
In January-June 2017, output rose 5.6% year-on-year.
The KSH will publish a second reading of the data on August 11.
