Hungary’s next shot for a ratings upgrade will be March 4, when Moody’s is scheduled to release a new report on Hungary’s credit status, MTI reported Wednesday. S&P is scheduled to release their report on Hungary on March 18, and Fitch’s next report on the country is set for May 20.

For the past year, many analysts have been anticipating that the big rating agencies will upgrade the status of Hungary’s sovereign debt, from junk level to investment grade. Now most analysts say that early this year Hungary should receive its long-awaited credit upgrade, which would help Hungary raise debt on the bond market and also encourage investment in business here.

According to state news agency MTI, the dates for the big ratings agencies to release their reports on Hungary’s debt are as follows:

  • Moody’s: March 4, July 8 and November 4.
  • Standard & Poor’s: March 18 and September 16.
  • Fitch Ratings: May 20 and November 18.
