Hungary’s industrial prices rise 1.5% in June

Hungary’s industrial producer prices grew by 1.5% in June on average, as compared to the same period a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said today in a first release of data.

Domestic output prices increased by 3.2% on average, with the prices of manufacturing rising by 4.5% and the prices of energy industry growing by 0.2%. Prices in Hungary rose by 2.6% in energy and intermediate producer branches, by 2.0% in capital goods producer and by 5.6% in consumer goods producer branches out of the end-use groups of the producer branches of industry, according to KSH.

Industrial non-domestic output prices went up by 0.8% in June, as compared to the same month a year earlier, KSH said. The prices of manufacturing (representing a weight of 95.1%) rose by 0.9%, while the prices of energy industry (having a weight of 4.6%) were cut by 2.4%, according to KSH.

In the January-June period, domestic output prices increased by 5.5% and non-domestic output prices by 2.1%, so industrial producer prices as a whole were 3.2% higher, as compared to the same period a year earlier, data by KSH shows.
