Potential for cooperation lies in the food, farming, water technology, sport, machinery and infocommunications businesses, the state secretary said after a meeting between business leaders of the two countries at a business forum in Budapest, on the sidelines of the second meeting of the Hungarian-Turkmen Economic Cooperation Intergovernmental Committee.

Szabó noted that the two sides will sign a double taxation avoidance agreement today. Bazarov Batyr, Turkmenistanʼs minister for economy and development, said his country wants to strengthen its business ties with Hungary and envisions Hungarian companies on its domestic market.

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.

We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
