Hungary, Turkey discuss cooperation in African markets
Both Hungary and Turkeyʼs joint efforts to work together more closely in Africa, and a potential cooperation on the continent were among topics discussed by the two countries today in Budapest at a business forum, state secretary for economic diplomacy Levente Magyar said.

Turkey decided in 2014 to develop its trade and economic ties with Africa, and it is counting on Hungarian companies to participate in the endeavor, said Turkish deputy economy minister Fatih Metin, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
Hungary’s foreign minister Péter Szijjártó and Fatih agreed that the two countries will be involved in the African markets jointly, chiefly in projects in the health industry and energy sector, financially supported by the cooperation of Hungarian and Turkish Exim banks, according to reports.
The forum was organized by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK), the Hungarian National Trading House, Hungaryʼs Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Turkish council on foreign economic ties, MTI noted.
