Hungary will receive HUF 2.9 bln in agricultural emergency aid from the European Union based on the decision made at the EU farm ministers meeting in Luxembourg today, farm minister Sándor Fazekas told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday.
The EU set aside €500 mln in aid to balance falling producer prices in the milk sector, the effects of the embargo against Russia and damages from the summer drought. The EU will also finance new Private Storage Aid schemes for dairy and pork products.
