Hungary producer prices rise in October

Producer prices in Hungary rose in October, snapping a 7-month string of declining prices, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed Wednesday. Producer prices rose 0.7% year-on-year in October compared to a 0.3% decline in September.

Prices in the manufacturing sector climbed 1.9% in October compared to a 6.4% slump in prices of utility. On a monthly basis, industrial producer prices dropped 0.9% in October, reversing the 0.1% rise in the previous month and marked the first decline in five months

Domestic producer prices declined 1.7% annually in October and were down 0.6% from the previous month. At the same time, export prices rose 2.1% annually, although falling by 1.1% from the previous month.
