Hungary investment fund assets edge up 1.6% in August

Assets in investment funds managed by members of the Association of Hungarian Investment Fund and Asset Management Companies (BAMOSz) edged up 1.6% to HUF 3,207 billion in August from the same month a year earlier as yields outweighed net withdrawals, BAMOSz said on Thursday.

Assets of open-ended securities funds, which account for 61.7% of all investment fund assets, rose 1.7% in August.

Assets in money market funds climbed 1.8% to HUF 1,279 billion.

Bond fund assets increased 1.6% to HUF 340 billion.

Assets in share funds rose 1.4% to HUF 242 billion as yields compensated for net withdrawals.

Assets of property funds increased 0.7% to HUF 355 billion.
