Hungary earmarks funds to expand road to Bratislava

Hungaryʼs government has allocated gross HUF 26.7 billion for the expansion of a road connecting the M1 motorway with the Slovakian capital Bratislava, according to national news agency MTI.

The respective section of what will be the M15 road will be turned into a dual carriageway along the distance between the M1 and the border with Slovakia, shows a resolution published in the latest issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny.

The European Unionʼs Connecting Europe Facility, an instrument to promote growth, jobs and competitiveness through targeted infrastructure investment at the European level, will cover HUF 17.2 bln of the cost of the project.
