Hungary allocates HUF 5 bln for tobacco farmers
The Hungarian state has allocated HUF 5 bln in subsidies for tobacco farmers this year in order to support almost 20,000 jobs, mostly in underdeveloped regions in the east of the country, the Agriculture Ministry reported today.
According to the ministry, the monies are expected to come from the farm ministry's own resources and residuals from last year's budget produced by the National Economy Ministry.
