Hungarian-South African Joint Committee meets again
The Hungarian-South African Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation met for the second time today, this time in Budapest, according to reports.
Officials attending the meeting discussed cooperation in the areas of construction, infrastructure, transport, energy, farming, environmental protection, water management, health care, science, education, culture and tourism, state secretary László Szabó said, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.
Coinciding with the meeting, a business forum was also organized and was attended by 20 Hungarian companies and 4-5 firms from Africa, MTI added.
Budapest-based evopro and its partners are setting up an electric bus plant in South Africa, and local building technology company Gremound signed a contract that could result in the construction of tens of thousands of earthquake-resistant homes, the state secretary noted, according to MTI.
