Hungarian car fuel sales up 6.3% in Jan-Sep

Hungary’s car fuel sales saw a 6.3% rise in the January-September period compared to the corresponding period of 2015, reaching more than 2.5 billion liters, the Hungarian Petroleum Association (MASZ) said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Sales of gasoline were up by 4.7%, reaching 981 million liters, while sales of diesel were up by 7.3% to 1.53 billion liters, including premium car fuel products, according to the report.
In the meantime, Hungarian oil and gas company MOL was reported to be planning to raise its wholesale diesel price by HUF 2 per liter as of today, MTI said based on industry sources.
At the pump, diesel prices are expected to reach HUF 360 per liter, while the price of gasoline is seen to remain unchanged at around HUF 347 per liter.
MOL takes decisions on its vehicle gas prices twice a week, MTI recalled.
