The revenues of Hungarian baths during the summer season edged up 2% this year compared to last year, although visitor numbers were unchanged, Gyula Czeglédi, managing director of the Hungarian Spa Association, said yesterday, as reported by Hungarian news agency MTI.

Czeglédi said that according to preliminary figures even as visitor numbers were broadly unchanged, the best-performing baths saw a few percentage points uptick in visitor numbers.

Based on last yearʼs data, Czeglédi said visits to spas and open-air baths are an important part of tourism in the ten most frequented cities by visitor numbers.
