Gov’t earmarks HUF 750 bln for priority road projects

The Hungarian government has allocated HUF 750 bln for priority road investments until 2020, the end of the current European Union funding cycle, a decree published in yesterday's official gazette shows. 

The decree allocates HUF 11 bln for projects this year, HUF 13 bln for 2016, HUF 13 bln for 2017, HUF 273 bln for 2018, HUF 350 bln for 2019 and HUF 90 bln for 2020. The road projects will affect areas around Sopron, Szolnok, Békéscsaba, Ózd, Debrecen, Győr and Esztergom.
