City

The government is allocating HUF 1.37 billion to Hungarian air traffic controller HungaroControl for it to set up an air traffic control service at Debrecen Airport, a government resolution published in the official gazette Magyar Közlöny shows, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

The Minister of National Development will examine the costs of running the service and will make a proposal to the government on who will provide funding for the coming years.

According to HungaroControl, there is currently only an airport information service at Debrecen; establishing an air traffic control service requires technological improvements and training.
