Government launches website to educate public on U.S.-Hungary ties
Hungaryʼs Government Information Centre on Tuesday announced the launch of an English-language website – www.hungaryinsights.com – "to educate about the strategic, economic, and cultural importance of the U.S.-Hungarian relationship", Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
A statement by former U.S. Congressman Connie Mack was published on the website, his first as spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister of Hungary.
"Hungary is once again demonstrating its leadership in Europe by taking the difficult, logical steps necessary not only to protect the Hungarian nation and Europe, but to take away the fantasy of tens of millions of potential migrants to Europe that an open arms policy - complete with welfare benefits for anyone who shows up - is not a good policy, makes no sense, and undermines the character of the nation to which they wish to travel," Mack said.
The materials on the website are distributed by Washington D.C.-based PR and lobbying firm Levick on behalf of the PMʼs Office.
