Surplus on external trade in goods at EUR 830 mln in Jan

Surplus on external trade in goods stood at EUR 830 million in January, with exports increasing by 4.9% and imports decreasing by 0.2% compared to December, according to data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports amounted to EUR 8.755 billion and that of imports to EUR 7.925 bln.

The share of EU-27 Member States was 78% in exports and 71% in imports.

In EUR terms, the value of exports was 5.5% and that of imports 10% lower in January 2021 than in the same period of the previous year.

The balance of external trade in goods improved by EUR 417 million compared to January 2020.
