Hungary's Trade Deficit Reaches EUR 1.3 bln in August

Hungary's external trade in goods deficit reached EUR 1.3 billion in August, according to data published by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
The value of exports amounted to EUR 11.466 billion and that of imports to EUR 12.765 bln.
The value of exports in EUR terms was 37% and that of imports 41% larger in August 2022 than in the same period of the previous year. The balance of the external trade in goods deteriorated by EUR 582 million compared to August 2021.
The share of EU Member States was 75% in exports and 69% in imports.
Compared to July 2022, the level of export in goods increased by 6.1% and that of import in goods grew by 5.5%.
