Hungarian Meat Companies Get Export Clearance from Philippines

Trade

Hungarian companies have been cleared to export meat to the Philippines for the first time, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a post on Facebook on Sunday.

The six companies were licensed for exports of pork, poultry, and live animals after "long years of persistent work," Szijjártó said.

He added that two more companies could be cleared to export after supplementary documentation is submitted.

With over 112 million inhabitants, the market in the Philippines offers "enormous opportunity" for the Hungarian food industry, he added.
