Deficit on external trade in goods widens in October

The value of exports fell to EUR 10.368 billion, while that of imports rose to EUR 10.703 bln in October 2021, according to data by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports fell by 0.9% year-on-year, while that of imports was 14% higher in EUR terms.

The deficit on external trade in goods stood at EUR 335 million, with the balance worsening by EUR 1.3 billion compared to October 2020.

The share of EU Member States was 75% in exports and 71% in imports.

Compared to September 2021, the value of exports was unchanged, while that of imports increased by 1.9%.
