The deficit on external trade in goods stood at EUR 193 million in July 2021, according to data by the Central Statistical Office (KSH).

The value of exports amounted to EUR 9.498 billion (up 10% y.o.y.) and that of imports to EUR 9.691 bln (up 15% y.o.y.). The EUR value of exports was 5.4% and that of imports 8.5% higher than in July 2019.

A contributor to the deceleration of exports in July compared to the previous month could also be – according to industrial data for July – a decrease in the performance of the manufacture of transport equipment, representing a large weight, KSH notes.

The share of EU-27 Member States was 77% in exports and 71% in imports.

The balance of external trade in goods deteriorated by EUR 379 mln compared to July 2020.
