Albania trade gap widens in 2021

Albania's trade deficit widened by 29.6% year-on-year in 2021, to ALL 432 billion (EUR 3.5 billion), the statistical office said on Monday.
Exports rose by 35.6% on the year to ALL 369 billion in 2021, while imports increased by 32.3% to ALL 801 billion, the agency said.
The rise in total exports was mostly due to higher exports of construction materials, metals, minerals, fuels, electricity, textile and footwear.
