OTP Bank raises capital at Romanian unit
OTP Bank yesterday said it raised capital at its Romanian unit to RON 958 mln from RON 783 mln. According to calculations made by Hungarian news agency MTI, the raise is equivalent to about €39 mln. OTP Bank owns 99.99% of the bank.
OTP Bank Romania said on Friday that it would temporarily lower interest rates for clients with Swiss franc-based loans due to currency's gains that occurred after the Swiss National Bank unexpectedly removed an exchange rate cap.
