The National Bank of Hungary (MNB) has announced dates for euro liquidity swap tenders it will hold late in March to ease end-of-quarter swap market tensions in a release on its website.

The tenders will be held on March 24, 29, 30, and 31.

The value date of the first tender will be March 26 and the swaps will mature on April 8.

The value dates for the remaining three tenders will be March 31 and the swaps will mature on April 1. The MNB is not setting a cap on volume at the tenders. The central bank started the practice of holding the end-of-quarter tenders in September 2020.

With the instrument, the MNB aims "to ensure that changes in short-term yields continue to be in line with short-term yields deemed optimal by the Monetary Council in every sub-market at all times."
