MNBʼs reserve assets stood at €36.9 bln at the end of Q1

The National Bank of Hungaryʼs (MNB) reserve assets amounted to €36.9 bln at the end of March, data published by the central bank on Wednesday shows.
Hungaryʼs net foreign debt, excluding FDI debt instruments, amounted to €35.9 bln at the end of March 2015.
The net external debt of the general government and the MNB was €16.9 bln, the debt of other monetary financial institutions and other sectors stood at €19 bln.
Gross external debt excluding FDI instruments was €92.4 bln at the end of Q1, the government and the central bank having accumulated €54.8 bln in debt, while other MFIs and other sectors accumulated €37.6 bln.
At the end of March Hungary had foreign assets totaling €127.1 bln and liabilities of €210.6 bln.
