MNB int'l reserves rise EUR 1.131 bln in December

The international reserves of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) reached EUR 33.677 bln at the end of December, up EUR 1.131 bln from a month earlier, data released by the central bank on Friday show, state news wire MTI reports.

The international reserves stood EUR 5.292 bln higher than at the end of 2019.

Hungary had no big FX bond issues in December. For the full year, FX bond issues on international markets came to EUR 6.5 bln as pandemic defense and stimulus expenditures swelled.
