Dollar bond issue in mid-October?
In an interview with news outlet Magyar Hírlap yesterday, Government Debt Management Agency (ÁKK) deputy director László András Borbély stated that “under optimal circumstances,” issuance of dollar bonds is possible in mid-October, depending on approval of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The ÁKK had filed documentation with the SEC earlier in the week to allow for a public offering of $5 billion in debt securities. Borbély also stated that such a bond issue could also take place at the end of November.
