Slovakia c/a swings to deficit in Aug

Slovakia posted a current account deficit of EUR 527 million in August compared to EUR 193 million surplus in the corresponding month of the previous year, the central bank said in a report.
The goods account slipped to a EUR 374 million deficit from a EUR 213 million surplus a year ago and the services account surplus shrank to EUR 66 million from EUR 167 million.
Meanwhile, the primary account swung to EUR 133 million surplus from EUR 86 million deficit and the secondary income deficit narrowed to EUR 58 million from EUR 99 million.
