Romania's public debt up in August

Romania's gross public debt has increased by some RON 5 billion (EUR 1 billion) in August, to RON 550.3 billion (EUR 110 billion) at the end of the month, according to data from the Finance Ministry.

The public debt to GDP ratio has increased from 49.2% at the end of July (revised) to 49.7% at the end of August.
