Gov't Sector Deficit 2.8% of GDP in H1 - KSH

Hungary's government sector had a HUF 893.2 billion deficit in the first half, equivalent to 2.8% of GDP, data released by the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Friday show.

Government sector revenue came to HUF 13.324 trillion during the period, up 27.1% year-on-year, while expenditures rose 18.4% to HUF 14.217 tln.

Alone in the second quarter, the government sector deficit reached HUF 371.3 bln, equivalent to 2.3% of GDP.

Government sector revenue climbed 24.1% to HUF 6.766 tln and expenditures increased 16.9% to HUF 7.137 tln.
