Czech gov't debt up in Q1

The nominal debt of Czech government institutions rose by CZK 630.3 billion (EUR 24.71 billion) year-on-year to CZK 2.5191 trillion (EUR 98.8 billion) in the first quarter of 2021, according to data released by the Czech Statistical Office.

The debt ratio increased in annual terms from 32.4% to 44.1% of the GDP.

The results continue to reflect the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, statisticians said.
