Vasvári Baromfi Kft refuses tax fraud charges
The National Tax and Customs Authority (NAV) have shed lights on a large-scale tax fraud issue concerning Vasvári Baromfi Kft. The NAV SWAT team has carried out a raid on the company, after which they accused the owners of Vasvári Baromfi Kft, a meat manufacturer, with committing tax fraud concerning a VAT refund issue.
The company has refused all charges in a press release, and stated that unlike the press reported, after purchasing and processing the animals in Hungary, the company delivered and marketed them abroad. Vasvári Baromfi added that they rendered all documents testifying this at the disposal of NAV.
Vasvári Baromfi paid taxes and fees of more than HUF 500 million last year, the company added.
