Sectoral taxes expected to remain at least till middle of next govt cycle

Extraordinary sectoral taxes should be expected to remain in place in Hungary until the middle or the end of the next government's term, regardless of who wins general elections in 2014, Antal Rogán, parliamentary group leader of governing Fidesz, said at an event organised by the American Chamber of Commerce on Thursday. Without significant growth, these extraordinary taxes are the only way to keep the budget in balance, Rogán said.
