Romanian central bank FX reserves edge up in Jan

The foreign exchange (FX) reserves held by Romania's central bank, excluding gold, totaled EUR 37.454 billion at the end of January, compared to EUR 37.379 billion a month earlier, the country's central bank said on Monday.
FX inflows amounted to EUR 1.380 billion, while outflows totaled EUR 1.305 billion.
The gold reserves of the central bank remained unchanged at 103.6 tonnes.
However, following the change in the international price of gold, its value amounted to EUR 5.105 billion at the end of January. The international reserves of Romania, including foreign currencies and gold, totaled EUR 42.559 billion as of end-January, compared to EUR 42.517 billion a month earlier.
