Polish Banking Sector Net Profit Fell by 40% in Jan-Sep

The net profit of Poland's banking sector in January-September amounted to PLN 5.52 billion (EUR 1.17 billion), a decrease of 39.8% year-on-year, financial market regulator KNF informed.

In September alone, the net loss amounted to PLN 2.78 billion.

Net interest income amounted to PLN 54.75 billion, an increase of 64% annually.

Operating expenses amounted to PLN 34.64 billion, showing a growth of 32% annually.
