Hungary Leasing Market Grows 2% in H1

Leasing outlays rose 2% year-on-year to HUF 429.1 billion in the first half of this year, news agency MTI writes citing a report by the Hungarian Leasing Association shows.

The number of new leasing contracts fell 7pc to 34,094 amid high inflation and borrowing costs, the association said.

SMEs accounted for three-fourths of leasing companies' business.

Retail car financing accounted for 38% of financed assets, fleet financing 11% and production equipment and real estate made up the remaining 51%.
