HUF 77.7 bln 2021 profit for MKB Bank

MKB Bank had an after-tax profit of HUF 77.7 billion in 2021, adjusted for one-offs such as integration costs, up from HUF 22 bln in the base period, according to an earnings report released on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange.
Net interest income climbed 49% to HUF 53.8 bln, and net revenue from commissions and fees increased 5% to HUF 24.8 bln.
MKB booked HUF 53.7 bln in "other income," up from HUF 9.1 bln in the base period. MKB had total assets of HUF 3.314 trillion at the end of December, up 19% from 12 months earlier.
MKB is part of a tie-up with Budapest Bank and Takarék group that is set to create Hungary's second-biggest commercial lender as Magyar Bankholding.
