The Financial Arbitration Board (FAB), a body established 10 years ago by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) to resolve disputes between clients and banks, has started allowing the submission of complaints and documents in ongoing cases online, through the government's Client Gate electronic administration portal, FAB spokesperson Tünde Kardos-Nagy told state news wire MTI.
Bank clients may still make submissions to the FAB by post, at the central bank's customer service office in Budapest, or at any Government Window - physical points of single contact for administration - Kardos-Nagy said.
Around 3,000 bank clients turned to the FAB in 2021.
